News Watch Headlines 2012 Season Wavesport Blogs - 2012 was a big year in kayaking for me. It started out like any normal kayaking year with a ton of rain hitting the northwest and everything jumping to good flows. My home river the Smith is great at this time of year as well as the Trinity and Salmon river area is amazing ... Getting Benighted Tips Wavesport Blogs - I guess if you have been boating for long enough you at some stag going to spend the night out on a river unexpectedly. No sleeping bag, no dinner, no tarp, nothing. Where it all starts, the parking lot! Unsponsored 2013 Q&a Series unsponsored - Rush Sturges is a freestyle and expedition kayaker with over one hundred first descents worldwide and has been a member of the USA Freestyle team on numerous occasions. Rush kindly agreed to take part in Unsponsored's Q&A series for 2013. Supsquatch in Big Makaha Waves SUP Surf - Jeff at C4 sent over these photos shot by Jeff Wathell of Mana Photography of their recent session at Makaha. Most people would think twice about SUP surfing waves this size but it's nuts on a C4 Supsquatch with 7 riders. Chaco's Torlan Shoe Review worldkayak - Well winter finally decided to join us here in the southeast. With the onset of the cold I started to get more and more weird looks as I walk into the local grocery store wearing my hip-thongs. January 2013 Courses Gene17 - For this January we have all but a few spaces left on our autumn/winter 2012/2013 UK training and qualification courses programme. It's been a near record season for Gene17, with some 100+ keen and enthused paddlers on our courses from Wicklow in Ireland, the rivers of North Wales and of course down in Devon. First Day 2013 KayakQuixotica - Well, it's Wednesday. The holidays are over and it's time to get back to work. Great! I need a rest! We closed out the holidays by spending the last day of the year snowshoeing then we got up on New Year's day to paddle at the annual Fog Bowl.
