News Watch Headlines East Coast Paddlesports & Outdoor Festival ACA - The popular East Coast Canoe and Kayak Festival is expanding to include a variety of outdoor activities! The event, now called the East Coast Paddlesports and Outdoor Festival, will be on April 19-21 at James Island County Park, and will feature a multitude of popular outside activities in addition to paddling. Your Roll Illustrated Chicago Area Sea Kayakers Association - The goal of the kayak roll is to restore the body weight on top of the supporting platform—the boat. Records Fall At 20th N3tc Drak Challenge in South Africa ICF - An action packed weekend on the mighty Umzimkulu River for the 20th edition of the N3TC Drak Challenge kicked off the first event in the ICF Classic Series. Second Paddle Newfoundland Kayakoholic - Once again Tony and I headed to St. Philips for a paddle. We emailed a few hands thought we would get a couple more, but only Sean decided to join us. However, Old Man Winter was offering a very brief window of opportunity before commencement of his next onslaught. Cockatoo Beach on North Molle Island Rod Swan - We could have a leisurely start to the day because the later we left the paddle, the more the tide would assist us and there was a relatively short distance to paddle from Curlew Beach on Hook Island to Cockatoo Beach on North Molle Island. Dispatch From The 2nd Annual India Surf Festival Distressed Mullet - With volunteers from USA, Switzerland, Ireland, Spain, Argentina, Russia, and India, the work is being completed quickly and with an interesting international flare. Ideas are merging from all over the world to create a truly global festival celebrating the surf. Evolution of Winter Wear for Kayak Fishing fishyaker.com - I wore blue jeans and construction boots the first time I went kayak fishing in cold weather. Three hours into the 9 mile float trip, my legs were soaked and cold from the paddle shaft drippings alone. Pioneer River to Flat Top Island Rod Swan - A 4.5 meter high tide was just starting to turn as we left the boat ramp on Sunday Morning at about 6:45am. It was a beautiful day with only a slight easterly breeze as we headed out to the mouth of the river and towards Flat Top Island. Plenty of fisherman were out in their favorite spots looking for that illusive fish. Puka Patch Distressed Mullet - The sun will be shining and the heat is on for racers coming to the 4th Annual Newport SUP Cup. We are excited to present many new features for the 2013 race. SUP professional Dan Gavere will hold a race clinic as well as an ASI Certification course. Participants can also register for a women's specific clinic.
