I moved to Canada four years ago with the dream of being able to kayak and snowboard for the rest of my life, a pretty unrealistic dream for most, but especially for an Irish man. What better way to celebrate the new year then paddling a sweet III+/IV creek? We stayed at the Hosteria Orchids Paradise. Hurricane Sandy Brings Rarely Run Streams To Reality! Fluid Blog - We had a stroke of luck during the end of the paddling season in the Mid-Atlantic to catch a hurricane that brought heavy rains, flooding, and canceled days of school. Since I am a school teacher, I took full advantage of this to go run some streams that rarely have enough flow to do. Diversify OR Rafting Team - Every January 1st the Oregon Rafting Team is honored to take our veterans rafting on the Sandy River. Timber is also a veteran however this year Hardware and Joker worked together and provided some great experiences to those that have served us so well! North Tyne Run 6th January 2013 unsponsored - I had a little run down the North Tyne today from Chollerford to Acomb today. The North Tyne is a grade II/III run in the North East of England and in paddling circles is probably best known as the main venue for the Tyne Tour. Sunday Paddling Adventurous Experiences - We paddled from Port Erin Beach today, the Improver's group with Sam and Kim heading to the Sound to play. Myself and Jan led the beginners group, on a delightful journey finishing back in the Bay.
