Inflatable Kayak Blog Inflatable Kayak Blog: Pakboat Arrows – Manufacturing Update
Word's out that the re-designing of the PakBoat Arrows won't be completed in 2009. The inconsistency of the manufactured fabric led to PakBoats decision to wait until the problem is solved completely before putting new Arrows on the market.

Jackson Rec Jackson Rec: Russell Gets Another Great Day Of Duck Hunting With The Day Tripper 12!!!
I finally got out in the kayak and did some duckhunting and had a really cool trip. I did some research on some places close to my house in Chesapeake, VA and found that not more than 3 miles there was a really ducky looking salt creek that, judging from the aerial photos, was only accessible from the shallow draft of a kayak. I decided to give it a try. Being in a kayak you have to be very specific with what gear is absolutely necessary especially when it comes to cold weather exploring.

Leaving the small whitewater haven of Jalcomulco we headed across the isthmus to the state of Oaxaca, stopping first in the capital city bearing the same name. Oaxaca has many beautiful old colonial buildings with at least 3 large cathedrals dating back to the 16th century.

After we got back from the little trip down to Gol Gol, Nilahue, and Fuy we were in a good mood to continue the huckfest... what else to go do other than the most famous big huck of Pucon. The Middle Palguin's big falls.

We circled round to the north side of Eilean Mor in the MacCormaig Isles and entered its surprisingly sheltered natural harbour. There is a seventh century turf roofed chapel, which we had explored on a previous visit but this time we wanted to get a closer look at a rather ancient looking turf roofed bothy on the west side of the inlet.
