The water temp isn't that cold and it's been sunny and in the 50's which has been so nice. I've gotten to meet a bunch of the local paddlers who are pretty funny guys and drink good beer. I met up with my buddy Craig and Jeremy who I haven't seen in awhile and we got to boat together.

New River Academy: Finishing First on the Futaleufu! We are in the midst of Futa Fest, a three-day event involving boaters and rafters from all over the globe. New River Academy is dominating! The first event yesterday was a downriver race, in the Puente a Puente, or bridge to bridge, section. Eric came in first in the playboat category, and Katie won the ladies playboat category. Then, to the dismay of the Peruvian National Team who came in second, Lorenzo, Andy, Tino, Stephen and David won the raft race!

adidas Sickline: Yogi Bear… Hollywood comes to New Zealand We got involved, as part of a white water team, and our job was to sort out the logistics for shots for a few white water scenes in the film. This included a number of action shots rafting down Aratiatia rapids, setting up rigs for the actors to get in a raft below Aratiatia.

LVM TV: 302 Straight Six Gold Christian Magallanes is really stepping up the the plate recently. Not sure if this is gold, but it's six people kayaking in the same photo.

Kokatat Blog: Canoecopia 2010 We heard about this wave a couple years ago…an untapped tidal zone that only local whitewater boaters know about. We didn't know what to expect really, but we knew we wanted to put sea kayaks on it. It took us a year or better to get all the logistics sorted out and our schedules aligned, but last summer it all came together.

All I can say is the feelings it brought out were overwhelming and I will never forget it.
