Palm Blogs - Any one that knows me will tell you that Rannoch Moor has to be one of my favorite remote/wilderness spots for a paddling adventures in Scotland. I have completed the cross Scotland trip starting at Kinloch Leven and finishing at Perth a number of times and never tire of it, but I had not completed the trip via the the smaller Lochs Ba and Laidon.

Stone And Water Squirt Boat Self Support and some exciting news
Stone And Water - This year has been an interesting year for kayaking for me. I have been on numerous new runs including several that I have wanted to do for a long time now. Early this spring I was fortunate enough to get on a high water Illinois River trip in Oregon, and 2 months later a West Fork Bureau trip. In fact, every month this year I've done at least one multiday kayaking trip. All were unique experiences that I wouldn't trade for anything.
padallen Toaroha River – The last of our NZ tour
padallen - We all slept well following a full day on the Styx River the previous day. Feeling refreshed we made plans to paddle the Lower section of the Toaroha River. This was to be another helicopter trip. This section is only a 3-4 hour trip, which was welcomed after a big day yesterday.
Team Swain SE Boating Experiencing the Rio Claro, Chile 2010
Team Swain SE Boating - Last week Gareth and I decided to break away from the impending winter back in North Carolina and sneak away for a few weeks of kayaking in Chile. Our trip started out with getting denied at the Greenville airport with our boats, managing to change our flights to leave from Charlotte and eventually finally getting both of us and our boats on a plane South. After two full days of traveling, we finally made it to our first destination, San Fabian where we met up with my good friend Jon Clark.
