Playak News Flash - December 12, 2010
The world's latest paddling headlines.
Level 6 Tunnel of Love
Level 6 - We have been lucky enough to receive a lot of early precip up here in northern California and it has made for some decent winter boating thus far. On Sunday (12/5/10) I enjoyed a great solo day out with my girlfriend Callie, unfortunately the flows were marginal on Mears Creek. This run flows into the Upper Sacramento and is located about 20mins south of Mt. Shasta.
Charlie Simmons Here you go....more photos
Charlie Simmons - Dupont State Park is a great resource for anything outdoors.....including some waterfall hucking even when everything else is low water or off......like the day after the green race when Duke decided not to generate electricity
Ryan Scott Major Creek (West Fork Gorge), WA
Ryan Scott - Perfect video, check it out!

worldkayak blogs - It all started with an email sent in November 2009! [UHCC] SUMMER WHITE WATER PADDLING TRIP 2010. Interested, we certainly were!
kayak4play Asia So Far
kayak4play - For the last 3 year I have focused my energy on getting on the world class white water on Australia's back door step. The last few years has seen me push through language barriers with creek boat in hand in Laos, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia and China. It not easy work but when you put on a rarely (if ever) paddled section of white water and its just me and the buddy I convinced that they should join me its all worth it.
kayak4play Current's Episode 6, The Australian Kimberley
kayak4play - Currents is a river stewardship focused WebTV program (online video documentary) which uses white water kayaking as a means to educate a broader audience about the risks threatening the world's rivers and to help highlight the intrinsic value of preserving rivers in their natural state.
SeaKayakPhoto.com Jetting off for some winter sun on Costa Clyde
SeaKayakPhoto.com - From the mouth of the Doon we paddled under the grim walls of Greenan Castle, which is perched right on the edge of the cliff. Castles are one of the great features of paddling in Scotland. They are a reminder that what are now apparently remote places were once lived in (and fought over) by our ancestors.
