New River Academy Rio Claro
New River Academy - I had been waiting for these ten days for a few years now. Before heading to the Claro everyone was very excited. I knew that the Claro offered beautiful clean waterfalls and committing whitewater canyons. The First day we paddled the Siete Tazas section. This was by far the most amazing stretch of rapids I have ever paddled. The Next day we paddled the Viente Dos Saltos, which means 22 waterfalls.

PeakUK India Himalayas
PeakUK - After an epic 2 month adventure in the Himalayas Team Peak UK kayaker Steve Brooks and his wife Ute have arrived back home to the snow in Austria. With the heaviest monsoon to hit the Indian Himalayas since 1929 they were forced to change their plans due to the rivers at the end of September being swollen beyond belief.

The next morning we arrived in Santiago to a crowd of Chilean taxi drivers hustling their services in a cacophony of Spanglish shouts. It was cold, with a fresh halo of snow capped peaks encircling the city. After 20ish hours of travel our driver left us at a dive hotel before venturing into the full throttled metropolis outside.

SUP Surf 2010 Duke's OceanFest SUP Race
SUP Surf - Here are some pictures I took before the start of the 2010 Duke's OceanFest SUP Race. The race had a good turnout this year with a lot of competitors. The conditions this year weren't as good as in 2009, hence the slower times but the last 2 miles seemed to be the best I can remember. We had some wind but a bad tide slowed our times. The tide seemed to change toward the end which helped. So did the small surf. I
