Welcome 2011 Adrian Tregoning - Happy New Year to everyone! I trust that the year went in smoothly for all!!! Mine was a truly excellent one, maybe one of the best ones yet. Spent at Johnny Heatlie's farm I knew I couldn't go wrong with a world class setting and even better company. Good times. So before I wrote the first article of the year I thought I'd spill a few thoughts on 2010 and some on 2011.

River Surfing Ciudad Valles! playak.net - Flows in the Huasteca are still a nice medium level. When we don't feel like driving to the waterfalls there is a great park and surf 5 minutes from the Hotel.

Snowy playboating in Rock Island worldkayak blogs - We received 5 inches of snow here in Rock Island on Sunday Night. Roads weren't plowed, schools are closed everywhere, and I spent a lot of time crying and wishing for warmer climates. It was, however, a good day to go kayak! We had to park at the top of the hill and walk in due to ice and snow.

Mexico: New Hero Rocks! Jackson Kayak - I have been paddling the Villain S for the past year, and I have been absolutely loving it. So naturally I was fired up to be able to borrow a Villain S while down in Mexico.

Upper Upper Butte Creek Mt. Hood H2O - With the water dropping out and not wanting a big mission after the Pine Creek debacle, Matt King, my dad, and I went to check out Upper Upper Butte Creek. Scouting reports mentioned class III bedrock, which sounded just fine to me.

Most eventful moment of 2010 gnarlydog - There was a question on the local kayaking forum: Best Moments of 2010? Gosh, there were so many great paddling moments in 2010. There were some awsome surfing fun with my partner and other kayaking buddies.

Keeping in line on the Solway SeaKayakPhoto.com - Back in October, Billy, Jim, Phil, Tony and I convened at Carrick shore in Scotland's deep south, the Solway.

Portage Inlet Kayak Yak - The temperature was a relatively mild 2C when Richard and I launched for a paddle up the Gorge this morning, but the cold north breeze made for a chilly day on the water. Moderate wind forecasts and the chance of snow in the forecast prompted us to pick a relatively protected spot to paddle today, however we sure felt that cold north air whenever it crossed our path.
