Late Friday night we decided we were going to head to Watauga Gorge for a quick dawn patrol lap in our long boats, before heading on up to the Russell Fork for another practice lap there. There are easier rapids, class I, all the way the most burly thing that you could ever even conceivably run (5.9). In theory, every decimal change in class V is about the same as, say class III to class IV. The problem here is that it leads many class V's to be underestimated as simply being an "easy V". The fact is, even if its the easiest class V in the world, it's still class V for a reason, and can presumably dole out a beating. Anyone Seen Bottle Bill? I know he's ready, willing, and able to help he showed that when ridding our environment of beer and soda containers, but when the tastes of consumers switched to non-carbonated drinks he was never given a chance to show what he could do. First Impressions of the New 9r Team Pyranha - When I first heard that Pyranha was coming out with a race boat, to say I was excited was an understatement! For me having the option to up the pace on a rapid, charging and flowing dynamically and seamlessly through the moves is one of the best feelings you can get in a kayak. In this area the 9r doesn't disappoint at all and it really is one of the smoothest boats Ive paddled. 2014 Board of Directors Election Am. Whitewater - Each year American Whitewater's membership elects Board members to serve three-year terms. These candidates are volunteering to serve three-year terms on the American Whitewater Board of Directors. Current American Whitewater members can cast their votes through Midnight Pacific Time, December 15th.
