American Rivers How Do You Get a Fish Upstream?
American Rivers - Anadromous fish such as salmon and steelhead have a rough time when it comes to finding their way home. Dams and other man-made barriers can present insurmountable obstacles, cutting them off from long stretches of their historic spawning habitat.
SUP International Inner Balance with Robby Naish
SUP International - Life's a seesaw with many seats, and sitting around the fulcrum in the middle are business, health, family friends and leisure. If you go too heavy on one, everything else goes up in the air.
Simon Wyndham Kokatat Idol drysuit review
Simon Wyndham - A drysuit is held as the pinnacle of a kayakers kit list. Owning a drysuit can inspire confidence due to the way the wearer can wear all sorts of warm layers, including socks, as well as not having the hassle of having to get completely undressed to get changed at the take out. Often in pouring rain or cold. A good drysuit therefore is a really nice bit of kit to own.
Jackson Kayak Juan Antonio De Ugarte'S Final Post
Jackson Kayak - Jackson Kayak is devastated to learn of the passing of one of our most beloved Team Members. Juan was a rare gem, with passion and love for all he did.

SUP Magazine Groms' Summer of SUP
SUP Magazine - This is how a summer of SUP should be: endless water time, tons of wipeouts and hundreds of waves. When you're ten or under like the groms in this video, the stoke is endless. This video will put a grin on your face.
Standup Journal Sean Poynter wins the Mirleft Stand Up Pro In Morocco
Standup Journal - It was a picture perfect ending to what has been an amazing event here in Morocco today as the last 4 battled it out in pristine groomed surf that saw the highest scores of the contest posted in these last 4 heats (semis, consolation finals and finals).
Badfish SUP River Sup Technique
Badfish SUP - With the proliferation of whitewater parks across the US and river specific SUP designs like the Badfish MVP, River Surfer, and Cobra river surfing is becoming a popular option for park and play whitewater paddlers. During the summer the eddy at our local spots like the Staircase Wave in BV or Scout Wave in Salida is often dominated by SUP boards. When we designed the BV Park and the Office and Scout Waves in Salida, we had stand up paddle boarding in mind as much as kayaking.
Ben Jackson At Death's Door
Ben Jackson - Last year I watched a very good friend almost drown while running the ever popular Cherry Bomb gorge on California's Upper Cherry Creek. With the Northern summer in full swing it seemed fitting. Know your limitations.
American Rivers Dams are problem creators, not problem solvers
American Rivers - According to a new study done by researchers in Europe, the 3,700 new dams under construction or planned for construction around the world will not meet the electricity demands of the developing countries where the dams are planned.
Jackson Kayak How to Creekboat – Paddle Education
Jackson Kayak - We have just updated some great information on the Paddle Education website, including how to land 45 by Christopher Korbulic and what to do at the lip of a waterfall written by Clay Wright.
Kokatat Blog Toxic Wave fever
Kokatat Blog - Southern France is an amazing whitewater paddling mecca if you know when and where to go. It has it all: prime class creeking on the Cevennes area and the Pyrenees, a few good holes like Millau, Vinon sur Verdon, and even some of the BIGGEST waves in Europe. One of them is know as Vague du Roger in France. We prefer to call it Toxic Wave, because of the massive paper factory that dominates the area and stinks for miles.
Jackson Kayak Whitewater of The Sea The Long and Short of It
Jackson Kayak - Whitewater kayaking in the ocean is an art form and everyone seems to have their own style. Many like the longer whitewater kayaks like the Karma RG while others like shorter planning hulled boats like Jackson Zen's and Fun Runners.
surfski.info Missing Paddler in East London, South Africa
surfski.info - Our sport is risky.  Ideal conditions for us involve big waves and strong winds.  And sometimes accidents happen.  Yesterday, the Pete Marlin world series surfski race was held in East London, South Africa, and shit happened.  The first news on the event's facebook page was all positive - Dawid Mocke won the race, beating Hank McGregor and Matt Bouman.  Nikki Mocke won the women's race, saying afterwards that the conditions were fantastic.  The course was a 23km route from Orient Beach to Yellow Sands and Nikki said that the surfing conditions were so good that she couldn't believe how fast it was and how quickly she'd reached the finish.  (Dawid Mocke achieved a course record in 1:18:11; Nikki's time was 1:30:14...
