Playak News Flash - July 15, 2010
The world's latest paddling headlines.
Teva Blog A whole month of events
Teva Blog - After my exams and the World Cup soccer, I finally get the chance to write a review about this super hectic month. This month absolutely saw its extreme highlights, as well as its big disappointments. After all it has been an adventure and I am not in the position to complain, as I've been out, on the road and focused on what I love to do; kayaking.
Dagger Blogs Feeling Royal, going Dinkey and living a Fantasy
Dagger Blogs - The past two weeks have been epic out here in the high sierra country of California. With the huge snowpack and cold weather of the spring, it was seeming like the multi-day season would never come, but alas, it finally did and man has it been sweet.
Jackson Kayak South Silver (videos)
Jackson Kayak - Last Saturday I was able to catch a run on South Silver before it ran out of water for the season. For those of you not familiar with this run, just think of Disneyland for kayakers. It is some of the steepest cleanest whitewater you can find anywhere. We only had about 50-60 cfs, which is low but still super fun. Once again the Villain has continued to impress me. Towards the end of the video watch how well the bow stays on the surface and in control all the way through skyscraper. Enjoy the video.
playak.tv Video: Fluid Nemesis - First Winter Session
playak.tv - My first session in the Fluid Nemesis Medium during a cold, cold winter day... I took the opportunity to practice my editing and 3D skills.
Sweet My Home video and few pics
Sweet - Summer is going great here in Colorado. Low water season has just started and it feels even better than high water season. Colorado rivers are so special. They have all kinds of stuff. Waterfalls, slides, manky class V stouts and technical moves..
Team Pyranha Skykomish River Paddle Session
Team Pyranha - This year we were fortunate to have another beautiful day to paddle the Skykomish River outside of Seattle, WA. Thanks to Aquasports for promoting this event. There was a great turn out for the paddle session. We were stoked to have a bunch of people trying out Burns and Molans. After the river, Charles put together a fun evening with pizza, beer, and a Dashboard Empanada Premier. THANKS GUYS for a great day. We had a lot of fun!
homemade kayaks face to face with a glacier
homemade kayaks - There are a few glaciers in the prince William Sound and we visited some of them. When you look at them from afar, they look like a whitish mass between the mountains, not too impressive and not too big. The distance is deceptive, I guess the clean air also makes things look closer than they are.
WRSI Little South East Update
WRSI - Recently here we have been getting back into some playboating in the SE and with the Hometown Throwdown Series nearby for a weekend I was able to enter and snag some footage so check out the video at the bottom and wound up placing 3rd in K1B.
