Sweet Sweet wedding and home run pictures
Sweet (Wednesday 7th) ** - As a 22 year old kid, pro kayaker, travelling the world, if somebody would ask me about getting married I would laugh at him/her big time. After meeting my girlfriend Meg last year in Colorado and travelling in between US and Europe I got big hassels last time I came over here. Grampy dude at the US immigration customs gave me shit how come I am in the US more often than in Czech where I come from. I explained him situation and he said I need another type of visas than 10 years tourist visa.. Afterwards, lot of our friends who have foreign partners told us to get married. Then you can apply for a Green card, legally work and travel in the country anytime you need..
Jackson Kayak Team USA-2011- Awesome Team, Our Best Ever!
Jackson Kayak (Monday 5th) ** - The 2011 USA Team consists of individuals who came out to Missoula, MT, competed against the best freestyle paddlers in the USA in their class, and peformed well enough to secure their spot. Since there are very few spots available, many incredible paddlers are still left behind for the 2011 Worlds in Germany. The best they can hope for is to do better in the 2013 USA Team Trials for the Worlds at NOC that year.
Sweet Big Timber Falls Photos
Sweet (Wednesday 7th) ** - While July should be the month of pure sunshine, i woke up to snow on the mountain tops and some damn cold weather. And getting a call to head up to Big Timber Creek again, motivation was pretty low. But i guess it was worth it as the sun came out and it ended up in a sweet day.
Rapid Magazine Blog Loops, Flips, McNastys and Space Godzillas Oh My
Rapid Magazine Blog (Wednesday 7th) ** - Teens Jason Craig, Dane Jackson, Jordan Poffenberger and Lauren Burress all turned in impressive performances as they battled in various divisions for the chance to represent the US at World Championships in Germany next summer.
Sweet Chile winter n' Montana Crikin
Sweet (Monday 5th) ** - It seems to be one hell of an epic season in the northern hemisphere, but with a surge of work I flew back down to Chile to complete some business. The one thing I never realized until last year, is that the winter down here is the highest water of the year. The constant rain keeps the rivers between a medium and extreme high water flow for months on end. Where as normally we are sitting around waiting for the rain, I have been housed by non stop rain and awaking every morning to fresh snow all around.
Wavesport Blogs Locals Only Movie
Wavesport Blogs (Monday 5th) ** - Since the beginning of the paddling season the majority of my time on the water has been spent shooting video for my upcoming movie Locals Only. I've wanted to make a full length kayaking video for sometime now but told myself that I wouldn't do it until I came up with a solid plan, had a good idea and knew how to work a camera well enough to get the shots I wanted. I'm a pretty picky guy and I couldn't stand the thought of slapping together something mediocre that I wouldn't be excited about once it was finished.
Sam Roil Royal Gorge
Sam Roil (Saturday 3rd) ** - This has to be one of the most anticipated runs in the whole of California. A sketchy put in, super remote location and some HUGE rapids make it one of the runs which gets spoken of in reverent tones in beaten up cars and dingy bars all over the state. Stories of epic trips come out of Royal every year which only serve to fuel the gossip mill.
adidas Sickline Iceland-Update
adidas Sickline (Saturday 3rd) * - As I sit here with numb fingers I don't think I could classify, Iceland as the ultimate Kayaker's paradise, but it is definitely an amazing country, with scenery that is like another planet!
Rapid Magazine Blog Africa Revolutions Tour (videos)
Rapid Magazine Blog (Sunday 4th) * - Here's a small preview of a video that is part of the Reel Paddling Festival and was also recently premiered at the Banff Mountain Film Festival.
Pyranha Team Van Voss Extreme Festival: Head-to-Head
Pyranha Team Van (Wednesday 7th) * - It was a difficult start for the UK crowd in the BoaterX; they were refused entry for their tardiness and, after some discussion with officials, were all entered into the same heat.
Young Swedish Amateurs California update; first week in the wild west
Young Swedish Amateurs (Friday 2nd) * - After a couple of weeks in Australia, a epic trip thru Mexico, me and my buddy Simon started making our way up the coast from LA to paradise; northern Cali. It's not called the wild west for nothing, and the only word I can find to describe it, would be wild.. More stuff is coming, but here is a short edit from my first night hooking up with my boys Kevin Weasly and Mike Peacher, showing us how its done in the west
Team Pyranha Demshitz Past Week on the Road
Team Pyranha (Monday 5th) * - We've had a super diverse last week on the road including some CO creeking, a wedding, a day and a half of driving, playboating in Missoula, and some fun MT creeking and river running. Here's a lil' photo update.
playak.tv Video: Erik Boomer Kokatat Ambassador
playak.tv (Monday 5th) * - Check out the video...
LiquidLore Furry Creek
LiquidLore (Friday 2nd) * - My first Furry Creek experience came one winter day last January or February after a big rain storm rolled through the city - after wimping out of running the Seymour at high water we decided to drive out the Sea to Sky and see what was up at Furry and Britannia. Furry was off the charts that day - but the seed was planted - it's a spectacular piece of river that needed to be ran once we could hit a good flow.
Jackson Kayak lost photos from Glenwood Wave!
Jackson Kayak (Monday 5th) * - After Lyons, EVERYONE descended on Glenwood Springs to enjoy the high water and warm weather. These photos were shot by Clay and I then, but I kinda forgot that I had them until yesterday. Enjoy!
