Sweet Some Movies From 2010
Sweet - So some of these movies have been linked to this site, but thanks to Team Member Jakub Numek I can now embed them so you can see them right on the page. Only the Youtube videos though, I use Vimeo alot so there are some links just below to those movies as well. Enjoy the outslought of kayaking movies you are about to see! It goes from some guy making a movie a of me running Koosah falls to the Dashboard Empanada Trailer…They are all for your enjoyment!
Sweet Beast Kaweah
Sweet - With a good hard trip of portagingand running gnar on West Cherry we headed to the chillest spot in Cali…Three Rivers. Well it's not the chillest because it was 105 degrees everyday we were there, but it's the most mellow and quality place to lay back, tan, run the shit, and enjoy the real kayaker lifestyle.
CKS Squad Buena Vista and Salida Playboating Photos
CKS Squad - Late July means low water on the Arkansas River, but playboating in Salida and Buena Vista is still great. Here are some playboating photos taken this past week at around 700 CFS. Photos by Mike Schroeder and Steve Bletsch.
River Angels Featured Paddler of the Month (July): Anne Hubner
River Angels - If you've never seen Anne Hubner on the water, you may feel a bit surprised when you do! First of all, she's a very solid river runner, winning the last three european TEVA games in Italy, but the greatest asset about her is that she is always comes accessorized with a big, beautiful smile!
Sweet Some more from Jakubs headcam
Sweet - Wish to work less and kayak more big rapids and drops thats for sure. But my work allows me to kayak every day and save money for winter spend either snowboarding or kayaking in a southern hemisphere.
Adrian Tregoning Molenaars River So Far This 2010 Season
Adrian Tregoning - I've always enjoyed the Molenaars and this season has been no exception. Actually, when I write a sentence like that I feel silly afterwards because I really enjoy being out every time I climb onto a river, almost regardless of the river. And as long as you're with good mates then it's happy days!
Wavesport Blogs Gausta Sweetness
Wavesport Blogs - After successfully running the Krutaa River we headed back to our lake shore camp and sadly packed everything up in order to move onto our next river. The next river on our 'Hit List' was the Sweden gem Gausta River.
Jordan Searle West Cherry - All good things come to an end
Jordan Searle - In 2008, while on Upper Cherry, I noticed some cascading drops coming in on river right halfway through day two... little did I know this was the "not so but should be classic - West Cherry Creek. With the beta from Josh Hill and some uncanny fortune that seen the A-Team, less the Postman unfortunately, come together... I was walking into West Cherry with great enthusiasm knowing this was going to be my last trip in California for 2010!
Ross Herr Crystal Gorge
Ross Herr - Well its been far too long that I've lived within a couple of hours from this classic and not been over there to experience it's majesty. There are not enough beautiful descriptive words to explain how this river makes one feel. A day hanging at Beaver Lake would not be a day wasted. Tuesday I got a couple of days off so Jakub and I called everyone we knew to get a third person to head up to the gorge with. Who knew that everyone would call us back and we'd roll through with a crew of 8 solid kayakers!
Paddling Life Kayaker Jason Craig Appears in Sports Illustrated
Paddling Life - Kayaker Jason Craig Appears in Sports Illustrated. What's next...Letterman? That could well be the case for 16-year-old kayaking phenom Jason Craig, who recently appeared in iconic sports mag Sports Illustrated.
Kokatat Blog Slave River Paddlefest – Save the Slave River
Kokatat Blog - The Slave River in northern Canada is one of the world's best whitewater paddling destinations! Accessed from the small town of Fort Smith, Northwest Territories, the water is warm, the paddling is amazing, and the crowds are non-existent. This section of the Slave is also extremely beautiful. It is the northern-most nesting ground for American White Pelicans, and we often paddle past these majestic birds.
AS Watersports A Devon White water selection
AS Watersports - Here is a short video of a few bits of river they paddled over the weekend they were here.
Have Kayaks, Will Travel Water access and guerilla landings
Have Kayaks, Will Travel - Yesterday, we agreed to participate in a video for a firm that's developing a plan for Chicago's Northerly Island. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this man-made peninsula, it is the former site of Meigs Field, a single-strip airport much beloved by VIPs and others, that Chicago's mayor, Richard M. Daley, destroyed in the middle of the night in 2003.
Stan Mac Kenzie "Grand Bruit By Kayak"
Stan Mac Kenzie - When we woke in La Plante Harbour the next day it was early morning sunshine. I was up at 6 and went for a morning pee then set off on a hike to take pictures. When the sun shines ya gotta make hay! The header image was taken that morning July 2nd. After 26 km yesterday (it will be 36km today) it was good to stretch the legs again.
