News Watch Headlines A Cobia Story Kokatat Blog - Maybe I should be embarrassed to say how many times I've sat, anchored up, chumming for hours on end or how many miles I've paddled around searching without success. Perhaps that's also a testament to how difficult it can be to find, hook, and land a kayak cobia in my home waters of Virginia. Paddle collers here is a 1855 Penobscot Wedding Paddle out for auction Paddle Making - Well here are two historical canoe paddles, one dating no later than 1839 and there at the Minnesota Historical Society where it is said the paddle was found on the battle site of "Battle Hollow" and another Penobscot paddle that is identical to this MHS paddle. The Penobscot paddle has many decorations including a heart shape, it was a wedding gift in 1855 to the person whose initials on the paddle. Special Day for SuAsCo Watershed Trash Paddler - Yesterday the organization OARS (for the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Rivers) held its 29th Annual River Cleanup. Between 9am and noon participants in 11 SuAsCo towns worked at cleaning up their respective town's river. Placentia Bay kayak adventure Tony Paradise - I looked out through the entrance to Sand Cove where the sea was bashing in quite good. I lead the pack out through into the open ocean keeping a watchful eye on the submerged rocks at the entrance to Toslow and Sand Cove. The water really reared up breaking into a mass of white foam. It took a little while to find my rhythm in the 1 and 2 meter waves. Walden'S Ridge Roller Coaster Jackson Kayak - After a mile of walking down the trail of the Stinging Fork Falls Natural Area, the silence is abruptly broken by a roaring in the distance. Cruise 10 Angler a Grab and Go Kayak Jackson Kayak - About a year ago while at an outdoors show I picked up a Cruise 10 Angler from Rivers Edge Canoe and Kayak for my girlfriend. I figured this would be a good kayak for her but had no idea what so ever how versatile of a purchase I had just made. Sup Armada – We Did It British SUP Association - GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ have today officially confirmed that participants at last weekend's SUP Armada event have set a new World Record.
