With 43 Male athletes battling it out for just four spots in the 36 man, main event, it was a stacked opening day of performance stand up paddle surfing here in Southern California. California Coastal Cleanup Day trash collection done with the Jackson Kayak Karma RG Jackson Kayak - #JustPickItUp is a motto that Jeff and I have adopted and encourage others to do the same. The third Saturday in September is reserved on our calendar for California Coastal Cleanup Day. Our friends join us in a variety of craft that include whitewater kayaks, recreational kayaks, sea kayaks, surfskis, sit on tops, canoes, and other traditional small craft. This year Jeff and I chose to use our Jackson Kayak Karma RG's. And most important, use that adjustable paddle to find your desired length. A couple first things you can do when looking for a new paddle... The Bucket List Kialoa - In December of 2014 I was given the go ahead to return to working out via Pilates after several years of neck problems and migraines. I immediately committed to 3 mornings a week at 6:30 am, rain, snow or shine. Changes in Latitude Kokatat Blog - It takes me awhile to get used to the idea of air and water temperatures that are warm enough to wear just a swimsuit or shorts. Pacific Northwest coastal waters never get that warm. We paddle year 'round which means in shoulder seasons and winter we wear minimally a wetsuit or a drysuit. The Binders Have Arrived.
