Due to the wind and the spring tides, the conditions were at the challenging end of the spectrum; surfing, rock-hopping and tide race paddles all took place.

Tony Paradise A Short Paddle Ends in St. Leonard'S
Tony Paradise - Monday morning, our third day in Placentia Bay had a fall feel to it as we decamped at Clattice Harbour. The forecast was for strengthening SW winds but in the harbour it was calm as exited Northwest Arm to make our way towards the former community of Clattice South West two kilometers away.

Trash Paddler - Recent rains have, for the most part, missed the SUASCO watershed leaving the inscription at Egg Rock to remain high and dry. I approached the Assabet River early this morning from the lower Sudbury, and recovered some fishing related trash at the spot where the Reformatory Branch of the B & M Railroad long ago crossed the river (Sudbury).
