News Watch Headlines Freestyle Finals a Family Affair Canoe Kayak - The sun rose this morning on the most exciting day for all, finals day! The Garb was up early and seemed hungry as usual as all our classes, save squirt, complete today for the medals. If yesterday's semi finals were any indication, the action and accompanying pressure should be intense. With everything at stake and a 3-ride, one counts format, we look for ride scores to soar. The OC1 boaters were the first to stare into the wave and meet the cheers from an already packed house. Current World Champion Jordan Poffenberger the early favourite was up against his US teammates, Dane Jackson and Brad McMillan. This experience along with the outcome is utterly tragic and the only thing left to grasp for is we may learn from it. New Fishing Opportunities Steve Gibson - With the recent move into our new home/neighborhood came some new fishing opportunities. The neighborhood has a few parks and golf coarse ponds that seem to be very well stocked with fish. Our first trip to the main pond was a success. We fished from shore catching many large mouth bass. Sarasota Bay Night Ops Steve Gibson - The evening started off a bit slow. We were fishing the pass on the incoming tide just before dark with live bait. We missed a couple fish with some break offs in the dock. We left Hood river on Wednesday and began our long drive down to California with two Coreban race boards and 4 Coreban Platinum wave SUP's tied to our roof, without roof racks so you can only imagine what our car looked like driving down the highway.
