Wavesport Blogs How To: Catch waves on the fly
Wavesport Blogs - On-the-fly-waves are the ones that you only get one chance per run to catch- waves that can not be caught from an eddy. One approach to catching an on-the-fly wave is to line up for it (in terms of left-right position), point dead upstream (like a salmon) and paddle like mad (like a mad-man). This often works, but in this post, I will detail a more nuanced approach to catching waves on-the-fly.

Adrian Tregoning Fluid Detox – Yes!
Adrian Tregoning - 2 or 3 weeks ago I got my large Fluid Detox. I had been eagerly anticipating this boat for ages and was chomping on the bit after seeing the medium in action recently on the Mzimvubu Team Trip in April. As the medium came out first, I had longer to wait. But as clichéd as this will sound, it was worth the wait.
PeakUK Kayaking Trip Japan
PeakUK - Due to Dave Fairweather having an unfortunate mishap with a car while in Switzerland, our trip started with one paddler down. After spending far too much time in Aircraft and various airports we finally arrived in Japan and drove over night up to Minakami, after finding the local rafting centre and having a chat to some of the guides there we headed off on our first river, the Tonegawa, a lovely grade 3/4 upper section, which led into a nice 3+ through the centre of the town.

Its been about 5 years since I've been back in the "M-BOX" and it was so sweet to get back in there with such a great posse!

PaddleBlogs - Tim had not paddled for 2 weeks, Rob was on holiday and bored, and I was more than happy to join them, so we arranged an evening paddle from Maenporth. Weather was not ideal, but we wrapped up and were prepared for a cool trip. As it turned out, the wind died away, the sea was almost smooth at times, and it was a memorable twilight end with a full moon to boot!
