News Watch Headlines On The River Flow – July 2013 Gene17 - Every month, we bring the best of our news, events and developments in a single source, with Gene17kayaking's on the River Flow. Final Pigeon Httd of 2013 worldkayak - Awards and drawings will take place after the competition. You must be present to win a prize. Events will range from simple rodeos to freestyle through-rapid style competitions. Judging will be simple and done by competitors or friends. Honolua Surf Co's Ultimate SUP Showdown this place 20th August as part of Duke's OceanFest SUPracer - The Ultimate SUP Showdown will be held on August 20th as part of the Duke's OceanFest in Waikiki (Oahu, Hawaii). The event is creating curiosity waves in the public as its a unique event combining both SUP and surf. This year the event is invite only where 32 elite paddlers are invited to participate and all the big SUP superstars are going to there... Dave Boehne's Paddle trip down Salmon River Werner - Co-owner of Infinity Surf Shop and talented SUP surfer along with his group makes a SUP paddle trip. There was serenity, adventure and thrills out there that he says was crazy. From paddling flatwater, class 3 rapids, camping in the open, Dave braved it all... Petra discovers the beauty of Anegada SUPping with Fanatic 12'6 Fly Air Race Fanatic SUP - Anegada is a paddler's delight…Petra's says there so much to explore, the breath taking Horsehoe Reef, two surfable reef breaks, West end and Loblolly …The place is beautiful with sandy beaches and salt ponds where a growing flock of pink flamingos reside Drinking From The Fire Hose in California The Next Horizon Line - Last year, I had been set on going to California for at least a week of kayaking. Unfortunately, a weak snow pack and scheduling issues killed my plans and I missed out on a great Middle Kings trip. Leco Salazar the SUP Legend! SUPboarder - A look back at the 2012 Stand Up World Surfing champ Leco Salazar, from Brazil. With his vertical hacks and aggressive style he well deserved the overall win for last year.  Will he be able to keep hold of his title for this year?…. that's the question.   Salmon River Part 3 Jackson Kayak - Everyone on the trip will tell you it was the "best trip ever". And for each it was a different reason. The rapids. The beautiful sights and camping. Or maybe just the idea of being off the grid. For me the highlight and scariest part came on the 2nd day. The women likely to be at the top in the Molokai 2 Oahu Paddleboarding World Championships this year SUP Connect - There is defending champion Talia Gangini-Decoite who set a new women's record last year. There is Andrea Moller who was the record holder before Talia broke it. Other competitors include Annabel Anderson, Jenny Kalambach and Terrene Black. M2O will take place on July 28th Naish Sup Team Brings It to 2013 Maui Paddle Championships SUP Fitness - It was a light wind trade day that looked promising and was full of action. I was stoked to finish 2nd in my division as it was a final few miles grind to the finish. The best part as always, is being with friends from all over the world and to race with your team mates. Innova Swing 1 Kayak Inflatable Kayak Blog - I recently had a chance to test paddle an Innova Swing 1 inflatable kayak that was returned to us from a customer who upgraded to an Innova Safari. The Swing is the newest Innova, very well received by paddlers since it's introduction last year.
