News Watch Headlines Training at Lee Valley SquareRock - With my GCSE exams finally over I am now free to paddle again!! After qualifying for the GB team again this year, training has begun in preparation for the World Kayak Freestyle Championships in America at the end of August. Results of The 2nd Annual House Run Rally worldkayak - This year's race was so much fun! We had six competitors, hot sunny weather and my friends Adrian and Kim Kurle helped us run shuttle for the event. I would like to extend a huge thanks to Gray from Osprey Rafting for letting us use his private river access for the event. A Week in Montreal Corran SUP - I just got back from an awesome week of river surfing in Montreal. Chambly, Habitat 67, and of course the Lachines. Unfortunately I was not able to surf Mavericks (see the post main photo from another time) this time around, but the other three spots really put out the goods. Hammacher Schlemmer'S Stand Up Fisherman'S Kayak Inflatable Kayak Blog - There's no question that most fishermen prefer to stand up when fishing. The two primary reasons are; they get better casting results and they have a better view of the water. Big East River Poling & Lining Daytrip Paddle Making - Last week I got to spend another fun day playing around the mid section of the Big East River. The plan was to pole upstream further than last year's trip, setup a day-camp on a sandy spit somewhere, and snub back down to the launch point at the Williamsport Bridge. Back then it was a bit of an odd request for black, but Don went to work in his mad laboratory, trying to combine different substances to an oil stain to create a paddle that was black, yet allowed the beauty of the wood to show through. It was Lizzie however who came out on top in the final to finish in second place and add a silver medal to the gold she won at the opening World Cup in Cardiff last month. Mountain Madness OR Rafting Team - With the snow capped Cascades looming in the background our former Olympian Matt (the Law) Lindland had this to say about the first annual Skyfest. Supin' Crazy AS Watersports - In his quest to get his shoulder strong Ewart has been hitting the SUP hard in the last week. A few sessions down the canal after work and a trip to Exmouth and Orcombe point with Ollie on Tuesday for some waves. It was the first time in the surf for both of them but within a couple of minutes they were both catching some nice knee to waist high waves. Youth Challenge Kayak Program worldkayak blogs - Well, Robert is suppose to do the writing but I lost him in his office Work is keeping him pretty busy but he is able to make it to the kayak program every week so all is good. This past week Kody Simons of Oakdale, California was excited to apply to our fall semester. Father John had a few questions about communication that may help families as they weigh the options of applying to PSA.
