Playak Women Take Top Cash Spots at Cash-ridden Payette Games
Playak - It was the women taking home top cash honors over the weekend, with O'Hara claiming the top spot with $6,000 for her two second-place finishes and Levknecht $5,500 for her third and first-place showings...
Simon Willis Kayaking in Venice, Italy
Simon Willis - This was the most fun I've had kayaking in ages.

Dagger Blogs Mamba 8.6 Creeker
Dagger Blogs - I had a chance to try the Mamba 8.6 Creeker this spring and it is quickly becoming my favorite kayak for self-supports! At first I was questioning if the 8.6 would be too much boat for me (I'm 5'11", 140 lbs), but the edges offer a lot of control while zipping in and out of eddies.
Palm Blogs The Big Paddle Teesside – a recipe for fun!
Palm Blogs - The final event of the 2013 Big Paddle Tour took place last week, and despite the odd rain shower, we had a fantastic day!
Jackson Kayak Sunny California, Creeking in The Jk Karma
Jackson Kayak - Loading kayaks after Bald Rock Canyon it is apparent that we'll have to get creative. It isn't raining, nor hot enough to melt the small snowpack that we have. Warm weather and full days of kayaking is part of why California is so great. Rivers can humble even when not on them.
CKS Blog What'S The Best Whitewater Kayak Paddle
CKS Blog - So what's the best all around paddle for whitewater boating? Is there one blade, preferably foam core, that you can use for play boating or creeking, and will not break the bank? Or just not break? As you know, there really is no best paddle.
Nick Bennett Alps Part 2: Val Sesia
Nick Bennett - After leaving Slovenia we stayed in the Val Sesia area of Italy for a few days, much pizza and grappa was consumed. This included a truly vile local grappa drink which was equal parts grappa and coffee with some other spirts and spices thrown in for good measure.
Bomb Flow Northfork Championships 2013 River Roots
Bomb Flow - It seemed as if the North Fork Payette rose to the challenge of the North Fork Championship, as paddlers came from all across the world to compete. The day before the event the NF Payette came up to a challenging and awesome flow – showing it's classic impressive identity.
Christina Russell Vacay Part 2- Kenai Lake
Christina Russell - We were in too much of a wind shadow at this particular lake. Poop! We launched the 17 and it had great pull but the wind would periodically die on us. Oh well. 'A' for effort! It was still quite a spot to be and we got a workout slogging through the mud and reeds.
worldkayak blogs June Md Chute Out on The Potomac
worldkayak blogs - June 27th we held the MD Chute Out at its namesake; the MD Chute of the Potomac River. We had a nice level of 3.38ft on the Little Falls gauge, which meant that almost every move was up for grabs; cartwheels, spins, splits, cleans, mcnasties, loops, and even the elusive Jihad, so we would have some nice rides available to those who had the skills, and even some spin to win philosophy could be adopted by folks in the amateur/ novice ranks.
unsponsored Norway – Veko
unsponsored - Water levels here in Voss have been fairly consistent since we arrived. We've managed to get on most of the major runs now and maybe before we leave we may get on something new. We're all hoping for some action on double drop but despite the grey skies the rain hasn't really come and its still not running.
Dagger Blogs Katana Testing on The Middle Fork of The Salmon
Dagger Blogs - At Dagger, everyone is involved with the testing of new boats - not just our Pro Team, but employees too. I had the privilege of joining Canyons River Company on the first all women's trip down the Middle Fork of the Salmon.
SW Sea Kayaking An Interview with Sea Kayaker Mark Rainsley
SW Sea Kayaking - If accomplished just means that I've had embarrassing swims on rivers in exotic places, then it's an appropriate label. Anyway, when I left university, with blinkered tunnel vision I only applied for jobs in places close to decent whitewater.
