Alps Part 2: Val Sesia Nick Bennett - After leaving Slovenia we stayed in the Val Sesia area of Italy for a few days, much pizza and grappa was consumed. Oh well. 'A' for effort! It was still quite a spot to be and we got a workout slogging through the mud and reeds. June Md Chute Out on The Potomac worldkayak blogs - June 27th we held the MD Chute Out at its namesake; the MD Chute of the Potomac River. We had a nice level of 3.38ft on the Little Falls gauge, which meant that almost every move was up for grabs; cartwheels, spins, splits, cleans, mcnasties, loops, and even the elusive Jihad, so we would have some nice rides available to those who had the skills, and even some spin to win philosophy could be adopted by folks in the amateur/ novice ranks. Norway – Veko unsponsored - Water levels here in Voss have been fairly consistent since we arrived. We've managed to get on most of the major runs now and maybe before we leave we may get on something new. We're all hoping for some action on double drop but despite the grey skies the rain hasn't really come and its still not running. Katana Testing on The Middle Fork of The Salmon Dagger Blogs - At Dagger, everyone is involved with the testing of new boats - not just our Pro Team, but employees too. I had the privilege of joining Canyons River Company on the first all women's trip down the Middle Fork of the Salmon. An Interview with Sea Kayaker Mark Rainsley SW Sea Kayaking - If accomplished just means that I've had embarrassing swims on rivers in exotic places, then it's an appropriate label. Anyway, when I left university, with blinkered tunnel vision I only applied for jobs in places close to decent whitewater.
