Gutters of the Earth Goddard Canyon 1D
Gutters of the Earth - In the Spring my Minnesota friends Jason and Tommy asked my advice about when to pick a week of vacation to come out to Cali. I recommended that they pick a week dead in the middle of the projected summer run-off, guaranteeing that they would run something good, though there was no way of knowing what it might be.
Evan Garcia Tatlow Hike-a-thon
Evan Garcia - They say a picture says a thousand words...These say a million! It's hard to capture the beauty of a place like Tatlow creek, being so hidden away. However, I think these shot from Candace do a pretty dam good job. Take a peek at my last Tatlow update and you will get what I'm saying. Tatlow 2007.
CKS Squad Crystal Gorge 2010
CKS Squad - A few weeks ago after being in Salt Lake City for the outdoor retailer show, Evan Garcia, Candace Sanders and myself made the drive back to my hometown of Carbondale, CO. The saying home is where the heart is is true, being home was great, and Evan and I were stoked to find that Crystal Gorge, one of the best kayaking runs in CO was in fact running. We loaded up the flatbed ranch truck and drove up into the beautiful mountains of Colorado.
Dagger Blogs A Beginner's Guide to Loading Kayaks on Your Vehicle
Dagger Blogs - Ok, so you just bought a kayak, but now you're wondering how you're going to get it home on your car. Or maybe you've figured out how to carry one boat, but now you're headed to the river with four of your friends and you have to carry their boats too. The process of loading boats onto a vehicle can be a bit over whelming at times, especially the first time you try to carry a load you're not used to.
Trent Thibodeaux USNWC Pro/Am freestyle competition
Trent Thibodeaux - This year the worldkayak & the usnwc put on its first ever pro/am freestyle competition as a fund raiser for First Descents...a non profit organization that uses the outdoors as a means of therapy and healing for kids with cancer. we raised $1100 dollars for them, which is absolutely amazing. thanks to jason and samantha miller, with worldkayak & rapid-straps, for putting on the best event that the whitewater center has ever had. thanks to all the sponsors that helped with the event as well...
Drew Gregory Coosa in Canada
Drew Gregory - Recently Drew and Eric Jackson (president of Jackson Kayak and former world champion and olympian kayaker) took the Coosa's to Canada to guest host on a popular fishing TV show called "Reel Outdoors" hosted by Chris Bailey. The show is scheduled to air on the Sportsmans Channel in about five or six months. Below are a couple good shots of the Coosa catching fish in one of the most beautiful settings in north America.
Have Kayaks, Will Travel A good day to explore the Chicago shore
Have Kayaks, Will Travel - Yesterday's marine forecast went beyond "small craft advisory" to "gale warning," meaning winds between 34 and 47 knots (or 39 to 54 miles per hour). Those winds were coming straight out of the west, so the lake looked flat but we knew that paddling on it would be a challenge.
Atlantic Paddle Surfing Harbour Town Summer Paddle Boarding
Atlantic Paddle Surfing - esterday was the last of out H20 Sports Free Summer Paddleboarding series. Was a great turn out had a live band cranking out the tunes, BBQ, brew, and lots of stoke. We had over 300 people joined us throughout the five Saturdays this summer to experience the free Paddleboarding event. Its a great feeling to have shared my passion with all the awesome people I've met and knowing I had a small impact on their lives thru paddleboarding.
