Roaring Fork Kayakers Ashlu Box Canyon and Browtin Lions
Roaring Fork Kayakers - Its a good feeling when a very large mountain lion right outside your tent leaves. This is how I felt on one of the nights me evan, and candace spent in BC. After an intense game of go fish, we finally settled down to sleep at our campsot near mamquam falls. I awoke in the night due to my gypsy therma-rest deflating. I lay awake listening to the BC wilderness outside. After laying for sometime I noticed very faint footsteps just a few feet away. My mind ran.... Bear, no the footsteps are too soft(but still sounded prominent).

On Kayaks Sunday, September 20th, 2010. Running fix
On Kayaks - Here there is a good presentation of how to take a useful fix when there is only one identifiable seamark or landmark available in sight by using a running fix, which in essence, only asks to take at different times, two bearings to the same navigation mark, transferring the first position line at the end of the estimated position along your water track -a line that represents the distance and direction that the kayak has travelled.
