Playak Catching Up with New Jackson Paddler Steve Fisher
Playak - In case you're still paddling a Dancer and haven't heard, kayaker and film producer Steve Fisher recently joined Jackson Kayak as the company's newest sponsored paddler, bringing together EJ and Fisher, two of the industry's most flamboyant characters and best paddlers. We caught up with Fisher for his thoughts on joining his one-time on-water rival, his recent marriage and what's next after the Grand Inga project. He also gives his views on why he likes Jackson kayaks for doing his whitewater pursuits.

SUPracer France Warms Up For Its Euro Tour Main Event With The Northpoint Classic
SUPracer - While Eric Terrien was kicking off the Euro Tour with a win on Mallorca this past weekend, his fellow countrymen were battling it out back home in France. The 6th annual Northpoint Classic, a SUP event that combines surfing and racing into one big weekend, was held in the village of Goulien on the country's west coast and enjoyed some picture-perfect race conditions. With sunny skies, light winds and small waves, the 50+ paddlers battled it out... In a tight finish, young gun Arthur Daniel took the win in a time of 48 minutes, 39 seconds, just 7 seconds in front of event organiser and French paddling stalwart, Greg Closier. We started off the festivities in the Ninkasi Penthouse overlooking the WW park for judges meetings and a out of town boater party. Needless to say the beer was top notch and the parings of the different beers with good cheese was a nice high brow surprise for all us river bums.

SUP Magazine - After four days and three nights paddling solo and unsupported through French Polynesia, Maui's Bart de Zwart made it to Bora Bora. Bart took off from Tahiti early last Thursday, May 15, and paddled 180 miles to Bora Bora, arriving late evening, Sunday, May 18. Although Bart's an experienced and prepared expedition paddler (having completed a crossing of the North Sea and a crossing from Hawaii's Big Island to Kauai, to name a couple big ones), he still couldn't plan for every possible situation, and faced some serious challenges throughout the journey, including staying dry at night and seasickness.
