The world's latest paddling headlines.
Dagger Blogs Team Dagger's Colorado Tour
Dagger Blogs - My absolute favorite time of the year is during the Colorado run-off in May and June. Not only is the paddling epic, but there are river festivals and outdoor/mountain games every weekend. This year I will be competing at The Golden Games on May 16 - 18, followed by CKS Paddlefest, Lyons Outdoor Games, GoPro Mountain Games and FIBArk.
Trash Paddler Charles Near the Stop
Trash Paddler - This afternoon I tied up some loose ends on the Charles River in Millis and Medfield by paddling the stretch of river between the Shattuck Reservation/Noon Hill and the confluence of the Charles and Stop Rivers.

Pete Holliday Battle of the Paddle California 2012
Pete Holliday - You only live once as they say, and I figured lets go & see what all the fuss is about at "The Super Bowl of SUP". Having chatted to a few of the other local guys here there was a bit of interest about getting a bunch of us to go, so after a bit of research we had a plan, a house share & some flights booked. Now it was time to train.
Jackson Kayak Secrets of Using Gopro Cameras
Jackson Kayak - Scott Blase asked me today- Can you share what they taught you at the GoPro Team Summit?" I figured that is a great idea, as it was quite an eye opener for me, and worth sharing with everyone. If you want to be better at using GoPro cameras, knowing the settings, and some of the finer things it does, learn what shots to take, and how to stage things up, then this article is for you.
Pete Holliday Baysup Frostbite – Race 3
Pete Holliday - I got a great start round the first buoy with Paul & Ryan (who were riding 14ft) but once we headed off they quickly pulled away with a couple of the other 14′s ahead too.
Pete Holliday Hayling Island – National SUP Festival 2012
Pete Holliday - Last weekend saw one of the UK's biggest watersports festivals on Hayling Island. Originally a Windsurf event it's now branched out to include a separate SUP element, this year covering 3 days of races. Here's how it went down.
SUP Magazine The Surfer by Laird Standup
SUP Magazine - Available in both EPS-HP and EPS-Composite constructions, the original Laird-Pearson shape represents the state of-the-art for all-around, high-performance surfing. These are our most popular boards worldwide. The unique template with a low-entry nose and rounded pin-tail paddles, accelerates beautifully and is incredibly maneuverable.

worldkayak blogs 2014 Squirtboat Mystery World Championship
worldkayak blogs - The 2014 Mystery World Championships went off without a hitch this weekend on the Truckee River in CA. Although we knew Swallow Cliffs was a really smooth spot, none of us could have predicted the potential for downtime here.
Jackson Kayak Before the storm
Jackson Kayak - Having to cancel a river campout due to the severe storms that were approaching from the west, a friend took me fishing on a private stretch of river near his house. Launching the Coosa with a slight rain falling I worked down one of the banks tossing a popper with my 5wt Loop fly rod.
SUP Surf Connor Baxter Soars to 3rd Olukai Ho'olaule'a Win
SUP Surf - The 2014 Olukai Ho'olaule'a was a great event. It might not be obvious to everyone there, but the Olukai team invests maybe as much time in doing a community service as it does on the race days. This year as they closed out their 6th annual Ho'olaule'a they shared a giveback day at Kaheawa Wind mills. More than 75 of the OluKai 'Ohana planted 30 Koa trees.
Jackson Kayak Ifa Kayak Fishing Tour
Jackson Kayak - The first leg of the Inshore Fishing Association's (IFA) was in Charleston, SC hosted by the St. John's Yacht Harbor on John's Island. Thirty-five kayak anglers from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, & Florida tested their skills and maybe some luck in the search for a redfish and speckled trout to win this leg of the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour for the Atlantic Division. This event marks my third year in participating in the IFA events.
