News Watch Headlines Jr. Pro and Youth SUP Fiesta Highlights SUP Magazine - Groms gathered at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, Calif. on Sunday for the 2nd Annual Jr. Pro and Youth SUP Fiesta, hosted by Candice Appleby's and Anthony Vela's Performance Paddling. As the premier youth-only event in SUP, the Jr. Pro and Youth SUP Fiesta brought top juniors and kids from across the nation and, a few from as far as Brazil, to compete for an equal gender prize purse of over $5,000 in Surf City. Team Paddler Gabriel Gray Paddles to Help Save The Flint River in Georgia Boardworks SUP - Boardworks Team paddler Gabriel Gray, founder of SOAR (Save our American Rivers) Recently completed a journey down the Headwaters of the Flint River in Georgia in order to raise awareness for one of the nations most endangered water ways. Aqua-Bound Introduces Three New SUP Paddles SUP Magazine - Branches, LLC introduces three new Aqua-Bound Standup Paddles to meet the demand for the increasing popularity of SUP. The new standup paddles include "The Spark" for beginners, "The Freedom" for intermediate paddlers, and "The Challenge" for more seasoned paddlers. According to Aqua-Bound President Ed Vater, the company conducted extensive market research and learned that standup paddlers are looking for paddles at mid-range prices with key features. CABANOS Rafting Team International Rafting Federation - Every year they participate in at least three national and three international competitions. The highlights for this year are both Euro Champs, BiH and Slovakia. This is also a special year for them as the R4 Euro Champs, Čunovo, Slovakia, will be held in their country on the artificial course where they know every stone. Iceberg! Newfoundland Sea Kayaking - After one of the roughest winters in recent memory it was so nice to get back on the water yesterday evening. A week of Northeast winds have pushed some mighty icebergs into our waters, and one was pretty close to where I work, so after punching in some OT I rewarded myself with an evening paddle. ICF Slalom Talent Identification Programme (CSL-TIP) Delivers Success ICF - The 2014 ICF Canoe Slalom Junior and U23 World Championships, Penrith delivered more than just world-class competition; it also delivered the opportunity for 15 athletes from five continents to develop their dream of entering among top athletes, building their path to the Olympic Games as part of the Canoe Slalom Talent Identification Programme (CSL-TIP). ISA Worlds Day 6: Long, Hot Day For The Women's Distance Race, With Lina Augaitis And Jordan Mercer Claiming Gold SUPracer - Friday, day six, saw the women's distance event here at the 2014 ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship. Both the SUP and prone women hit the water at 9am to begin the 18km trek around the 'Isletas de Granada' to the finish line. It was always going to be tough but the conditions were particularly brutal today. Even in the early morning, the sun was blazing hot and the wind was blowing strong across Lake Nicaragua, which produced a stiff headwind for the first few kilometres.
