Beau Whitehead - Great race as usual put on by Bob & the crew at Gorge Performance. 4" of rain leading up to the race made the river flow pretty stiff. We were able to go about 8-9mph down stream, and 3-4mph up. Many folks took swims as the strange whirlpools and boils grabbed their boards.

Kokatat - In early May, Kokatat supported athlete Mark Kalch will depart down Russia's 2,300 mile Volga River. The Volga is the third source to sea expedition in his "7 rivers, 7 continents" project, in which he plans to paddle the longest rivers on each continent. From northwest of Moscow, the Volga moves east, before turning south through Russia's giant, industrialized urban centers.

The course travels 500 miles across the Yukon Territory then 500 additional miles across Alaska.
