unsponsored A Kayaker's Guide To Making Friends
unsponsored - Believe it or not, the topic of making friends will perplex even the most sociable of kayakers at some point in their paddling career. This is not because we are weird, many of us are in fact relatively normal. It's because we rely on our paddling buddies in a very different way to how we rely on our boozy weekend buddies.
Dagger Blogs An Epic on Devil's Canyon: How To Fix a Crack on the RIver
Dagger Blogs - Last year, David Maurier and I headed off for a two day kayaking trip down one of California's most classic overnighters- Devil's Canyon of the Middle Fork of the Feather. Stoked to have good water, good weather, red wine and a couple of steaks, we were ready find adventure.

unsponsored First Thoughts On The Wavesport Mobius 49
unsponsored - It's refreshing to paddle a small playboat that actually feels like it's designed for the smaller paddler, rather than feeling like a shrunken version of the medium size.

Rapid Media 6 Pros, Toughest Fish to Target
Rapid Media - Just because a kayak angler is paddle powered and sitting on plastic, doesn't mean he shies away from a challenge. Targeting the toughest fish from the toughest fishing platform gets us fired up! Kayak Angler asked six pros for the hardest species of fish that they seek out. Here's what they told us: ...
Werner Paul Scriver - Meets new friend in Antarctica
Werner - We were kayaking behind Pleneau Island on the Antarctic Peninsula. We were down exploring the peninsula with One Ocean Expeditions who provide the amazing experience of sea kayaking in Antarctica. This guy ( I have it on good authority that it was in fact a male) found us and started being quite inquisitive.
Jackson Kayak Kiwi Adventures
Jackson Kayak - Last March I made my first trip to New Zealand when Jason Searle invited me over to train with him. He took me on a 3 week 'non stop' adventure sport tour of the North and South Island and I absolutely fell in love with the place (see the March 2013 blog link for my blog on our adventures.
Jackson Kayak North Branch Winooski in The Karma, Some of The Best Kayaking in Vermont.
Jackson Kayak - This winter has been a brutal one, with cold having a firm grip on most of the country and ice-lock on rivers from coast to coast. After a recent move from Vermont to Tennessee, I'm not missing the snow, but I am missing my friends, the rivers, and missing the anticipation that usually happens in April on a heavy snow year as it's only a matter of time before the ice lifts, and rivers run free again.
Astral Currently Murchison Falls – Africa.
Astral Currently - The Nile River is one of the holy grails of kayaking, draining the massive lake Victoria in Uganda and then twisting and turning its way down through a bunch countries before flowing into the ocean. The river has intrigued me since I went for a playboating mission 5 years ago.
Corran SUP New iDusi goes into production
Corran SUP - As a result of the astounding success Corran had at the Dusi Marathon, taking first place in the first ever SUP participation in this 50yr old race, we have decided to make an inflatable version, called the iDusi. While the board carries the name of this amazing race, really the target market for it is paddlers who want the speed and enjoyment of paddling a 17′ board -all the glide and excitement – without the problems of storage and transport of such a craft.
Werner The 'New Haven Race' kicks off the white water race season for North Country and Canadian boaters.
Werner - The New Haven Race is more than a race. It's a reunion. The timing of the race early in the spring makes it an ideal chance to reconnect with paddlers you haven't seen since Moose Fest. six months prior. The mood is full excitement. Both for the race and the paddling season as a whole. Voices can be overheard making plans for trips later in the season, and stretches of river that paddlers have their sights set on for when the spring thaw hits in earnest.
Astral Currently Leland's Greenjacket Rundown
Astral Currently - After 4.5 years of hard use, I recently decided it was time to retire my original Green Jacket. I was headed to Ecuador for a month-long kayaking adventure, and I wanted a jacket that wasn't quite so cooked by UV rays and battered by countless river miles. Plus, I have to admit that the newer GJs look so fly that I've coveted one since they first came out.
unsponsored Short Stories From Russia – Part 4

Rapid Media The Best Hole in America
Rapid Media - It's the sickest play hole probably ever built," says Junior World Champion freestyle kayaker, Jason Craig. "At least, that I've paddled in—and I've paddled in a lot.
