News Watch Headlines Ryan Helm Wins Santa Cruz Shootout! - 2014 Riviera Paddlesurf - The Santa Cruz Shoot out once again was awesome. There were challenging windy, rainy conditions for the race, but the Riviera Team paddled well with Ryan Helm 3rd Place, Brennan Rose 7th Place, Ryan Murphy 8th Place. With some great treatment and some injections into it I was able to race selection in January and secure 1st boat on the NZ team, thankfully, as there isn't a Pre-Selection basis on medical grounds. Oh No, It'S An Osprey Soap Opera Frogma - Sunday is looking pretty nice, I might go osprey hunting myself (don't worry, only shooting will be done with a camera) but in the meantime, I've been following that website I linked to in the last post, and oh my, there's some spring drama going on among the fish eagles. Jamison was one of two lucky people who won a Jackson Kayak of their choice at Gauley Fest this past year. He decided to choice to wait for the production model Karma Unlimited after seeing the long boat prototype kayak at the festival. Standup Paddling The American Southwest Riviera Paddlesurf - A few weeks ago my brother Brandon and I, along with Will Taylor from SUP Magazine made the trip out to Lake powell to do some paddling and explore all that the area has to offer. Adventure Fishing World Championships (AFWC) Werner - The AFWC (Adventure Fishing World Championship) is a new format of kayak fishing that combines: fishing, strategy, navigation and paddling resulting in a true Everglades Adventure! Teams of two anglers compete to reach and catch fish at 4 to 7 eligible checkpoints, in any order,and return to the start/finish before checking at 5PM with the largest total fish length. Corn fields, storms, sky scrapers and racing Slater Trout - Touched down on Maui a few days ago. As much as I love going places there is nothing better than getting off that plane and feeling the Maui air again.
