Playak Jackson Kayak founder celebrates his 50 birthday by having active fun on water
Playak - How else would you celebrate your 50th birthday if you were EJ than by ripping up the Nile - in any craft imaginable - with friends and family? That's what the Jackson Kayaks founder did March 3 to celebrate his big day... They swan, paddled in any craft imaginable and well no one doubts EJ's fit and strong, even compared to many youngsters. Happy and jolly just the positive spirit to be happy in life.
Laird Hamilton Inflatables vs. Traditional SUPs
Laird Hamilton - Comparing inflatables to traditional epoxy or fiberglass boards is sort of like comparing 4x4's to compacts. The first thing to ask yourself is where are you paddling? What are your paddling needs? Or ask yourself the following questions when comparing.
The Lake is the Boss Famous Ice Tables of Houghton Falls
The Lake is the Boss - This year the ice caves at Mawikiwe Bay on Lake Superior went viral. The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore had record visitors, businesses in the whole Bayfield peninsula had an amazing windfall, and visitors were both pleased and amazed.
Standup Journal Sup Your Way to Fat Loss
Standup Journal - Whether you are gliding through glassy waters, or chugging it hardcore through some gnarly swell, stand up paddling burns calories and is definitely considered exercise.
Jackson Kayak Karma Unlimited- Old School Playboating Rock Island Rumble

Sawyer The Sawyer Ripper 'X' Paddle Review
Sawyer - Aloha from Haleiwa, Oahu this is Mo Freitas and I'm going to talk to you about my Sawyer Ripper X paddle. Before we get there, I want to say the waves here on the North Shore have being massive, lots of barrels and broken boards.
Nathan Pfeifer The Lower Gorge (3.23.14)
Nathan Pfeifer - Typically, when I drive up to the NFMF Willamette, it's to run some laps on the Miracle Mile , one of the best sections of whitewater in the area. However, on this particular day we felt like mixin' it up a bit and continuing down through the lower gorge, after a quick run down the Mile.
Team I-Canoe The Seannafarracháin
Team I-Canoe - The Seannafarracháin is one of Ireland's best steep creeks if not the best. Located on the Galway Mayo border just east of Leenane and sitting next to the Srahnalong Valley it lies in an area with some of the best creaking in Ireland. Dropping an impressive two hundred meters in just 1.5 kilometers the Seannafarracháin is filled with endless slides and drops.

Mt. Hood H2O A Forgotten Gem in The Holy Land
Mt. Hood H2O - This run has descended into obscurity in the recent past. It has a promising write up in the guidebook and flows when other Oregon streams are low. It could be that this lack of interest stems from the legal issues surrounding the kayakers who were arrested in 1991 for scouting a rapid on private property back when this stream used to be run on the regular.
Palm Blogs Another exciting NZ Summer!
Palm Blogs - It's great being back in New Zealand once again. And the NZ summer has treated us well. The start of the year was quite hectic with lots of traveling around New Zealand and Australia, chasing the NZ selection races in Mangahao and Penrith.
Misc. Outside: On the road and on the river with the first family of whitewater kayaking
Misc. - Imagine you have a son who is born 12 weeks premature. He weighs 26 ounces at birth and fits in the palm of your hand. You're told to prepare yourself for the possibility that he might not survive. But slowly he gains strength, is unhooked from the respirator, and at seven weeks old is sent home. He is still tiny, he is partially deaf, and he will stay small for his whole childhood, but your son beat the odds. If this were your story, you'd have no reason to believe that this baby would grow up to be a world champion athlete. You would simply be happy to have a child alive in the world...
Louise Jull Huka Falls
Louise Jull - Huka Falls is one of New Zealand's big water gems just outside of Taupo. The mass of the Waikato river condenses into a tight gorge of big water waves and holes leading to a 30 or so foot drop. At high levels this section of Whitewater is very burly, but at lower levels it is good to go.
SUP Magazine Registration Closing for Surftech Shootout

SquareRock Claire O'Hara : Kiwi Adventures
