First Ascent Chris Korbulic Captures Epic Images of India: First Gallery
First Ascent - Chris Korbulic captures images of India from his recent expedition to Arunachal Pradesh in Northeast India to run the Siang and Siyom Rivers. "The motivation for the trip was to return to an old favorite of the big-water Siang River and to complete another first descent in Arunachal Pradesh on the Siyom River," summarizes Korbulic. "Arunachal is a wonderland of rivers and first descents, still almost completely dam-free and pretty wild-feeling but still very welcoming. It may be our favorite place in the world to paddle."
Exploring Elements Camp Chef Rainier Campers Combo
Exploring Elements - There's something about cooking with fire that is just better. After being in an electric stove time warp for the last several houses I've rented, there's a sigh of satisfied relief every time I push the matchless ignition and hear the flames flash into action on the Camp Chef Rainer Campers Combo stove.

Jackson Kayak Grand Prix 2014 Begins
Jackson Kayak - This is my first time accepting my invitation to compete in the Whitewater Grand Prix.  People always ask me why I haven't been competing in it before. I would prefer to tell you why I am competing in it this year.  I have decided that I don't care how I do in the event.

worldkayak blogs Exploring Mexico SUP style!
worldkayak blogs - It's hard to tell if the sport of whitewater SUP is growing or not.  I spend half the year in Mexico and for the past five years there have only been a handful of us paddling SUP.  Lately we have been exploring new runs with new equipment.  Brands like NRS, Glide SUP, Hala Gear and Corran SUP have been helping us pave the way for new and exciting warm water paddling.
Jackson Kayak Giant Paddlefish
Jackson Kayak - I got my Jackson Cuda 12 for my 25th birthday just last month and have already been blessed with the catch of a lifetime on my third trip out in my new kayak. My biggest and most exciting catch so far came in my new JK, and when I hooked into this monster, all I could do was hold on!
SquareRock Meghalaya
SquareRock - So its was our second trip to Meghalaya. Getting on a plane completely relaxed to India was something that I thought would never happen to me, but knowing that once I arrived logistics were not going to be a problem meant that I flew out with nothing but enthusiasm.
Mark Sundin From the River to the Sea
Mark Sundin - A few weeks back we offered to take some members from Sydney's famous old River Canoe Club out on Botany Bay for a morning of basic sea kayaking skills instruction. We ran through the gamut of biomechanics & technique required to paddle & close-quarter safely on the sea, on a bright, warm & sunny Sydney morning.

Durhamblogger Athleta - Apparel Model Not Wearing a PFD
Durhamblogger - On page 15 of the April 2014 Athleta catalog, one finds this attractive model (nice teeth!) paddling an outrigger canoe. Unfortunately, she is minus a PFD! Here we go again. I get it. Athleta, that sports the marketing subtitle .Power to the she is interested in showing off their performance / swimming apparel on beautiful bodies... and wearing a PFD will cover up too much.

fishyaker.com Extended Tongue Mini-Kayak Trailer Completed
fishyaker.com - For Christmas, I picked up a 4×6 utility trailer from Tractor Supply. I added a couple Thule bars, a pair of Malone Seawings, and a pair of Malone J cradles. My next chore was to extend the length of the tongue, to give me plenty of turning clearance between the car and kayaks.
