Jackson Kayak - Since the Australian Open in Jan I have spent a lot of time out of the boat and off the river. In October I got a tendonitis that was pretty bad in my wrist. A side effect of paddling a lot for the last 14 years. With some great treatment and some injections into it I was able to race selection in January and secure 1st boat on the NZ team, thankfully, as there isn't a Pre-Selection basis on medical grounds.

For the past week or so, anglers have been landing trophy walleye - males and females - in sizes and numbers not seen in years. The 2003 hatch have matured to double-figure weights and 30". The water temperatures are in the mid to low forties and the walleye have started to feed.

Next, add to that she was also unwell. When she unpacked her board she found it got cracks. This spite all this she managed to come first overall in her very first World Series race. Jackson Kayak -  It's that time of year! The Reno River Festival is just around the corner and the Reno Whitewater Park is primed to deliver a great festival. Even though the Sierra Nevada Mountains have a low snowpack, the Reno Whitewater Park was designed to have features you can play in no matter how low the water is! Hole 5 in the North channel is one of the best play features year round, and you can loop, McNasty, Spacegodzilla and Phonix Monkey to your hearts content!
