The Roaming Dials How to impress kayakers
The Roaming Dials - "We've heard a lot of kayakers describe the differences of being in packraft for the first time, but never get the opposite perspective."
Gutters of the Earth Postpile, lifestyle
Gutters of the Earth - As the 2010 snow melt played out and I eyed the Roger's Crossing gauge on the Kings, a new gauge caught my eye, a realtime reading on the San Joaquin at the Devil's Postpile. I daydreamed about the rapids, I re-counted the portages. I remembered the stillness of clear pools impounded between boulder piles in deep gorges. I thought about the remoteness of the river, crossed by footbridges but never paralleled by a trail, the canyon walls rising straight out of the water much of the way. My consciousness was caught up with the river.
Evan Garcia Salto de San Pedro
Evan Garcia - The San Pedro Falls is about an hour away from Tlapacoyan. It wouldn't be that far in any other country, but when the road is covered with pot holes and speed bumps, you can't just put her in 5th and cruise. After some ungodly amount of jesus's yelled out as we passed cars on corners and caught air off topes we arrived at a small inconspicuous bridge. Upon arrival you would think nothing, but when you peer over, you see it!
worldkayak blogs Oregon-bound and Star-Struck!
worldkayak blogs - Its been a long time since I updated my blog. I've been itching to get on-line and I finally have a few moments between boating trips to write up some of my recent adventures. So I recently returned from a trip to Oregon. I knew it was going to be a great trip when I arrived at the airport and was immediately upgraded. Then sitting in the airport lounge, I saw a familiar face from my favourite TV show- actor that plays Michael Spence from Holby City. Grinning from ear to ear I finally approached him in SFO and told him what a cool actor he is and he was my favourite character. He was very gracious, but he must get crazy fans like me approaching him all the time…
Tomass Marnics SICKLINE MOVIE SHOW - Нижний Новгород/Екатеринбург/Рига
Tomass Marnics - Dear friends, fans of water sports and just travel lovers!
Kayakpro Chile rio LLancahue
Kayakpro Chile - Good continuing with the tour of rivers...
Girls at Play From the River to the Canvas, an Interview with Marlo Wright, Paddler & Painter
Girls at Play - I was fortunate enough to go to Mexico with Girls at Play as a client in February 2010 with Marlo Wright from Crossville, TN. She is a bright and magnetic woman gifted not only in kayaking but also painting. Marlo and I were chatting about our amazing trip and agreed that it was a life changing experience for many of us.
CKS Blog CKS Customer Review: Garet Strouse Reviews The Pyranha Molan
CKS Blog - I rented a medium Molan from CKS this summer while on vacation and decided to try it out on the Buena Vista Whitewater Park. I have been paddling whitewater boats (kayaks and canoes) since I was 5 (now 17). I teach whitewater kayaking during the summer and get to try out several different boats. I normally prefer river running/creeking to playboating and paddle the Remix. It felt good to use a playboat and the Molan performed beyond my expectations. It spins very well and I found myself throwing tricks that I had never done before.
