West Virginia Fall Playboating Kokatat Blog - Kokatat Whitewater Ambassador Brian Jennings has been enjoying the fall kayaking season in West Virginia.

Little White Update 11/21 Northwest Video Scrapbook - 2.8 Ft. on November 21, 2010. The snow is here and the river is back. Early season warm rains and a higher freezing level brought back the rhythm to the Little White. Colligan Gorge Games 2010 MDAC - So just over a week ago we loaded up the Munster Dive and Canoe van at silly o'clock in the morning and headed off to Waterford for the Colligan Gorge Games. Recent years have shown this to be one of the highlights of the Irish calendar, and this year proved no different. Levels were a little down on last year, but still high enough to cushion most of the rocks, making it a fun level. The freezing cold and drizzle were enough to make any sane person think twice, so naturally none of us gave it another thought, we were in!

Playboating with UHCC worldkayak blogs - My friend Chris and I ran a series of play-boating progression sessions over the summer at Woodmill weir. We were keen to run a playboating session on a real section of river so everyone could practice down river moves. It is thought to be named after Robert Bruce who was Earl of Carrick (South Ayrshire) before becoming King. It was later used as a hunting lodge by King James IV. The current building is 15th century but has some 14th century features and belonged to the Campbells. It was burnt out in the late 1600's as punishment for the Campbells' part in a rebellion.
