Pyranha Fest 2010 Team Pyranha (Saturday 13th) ** - Pyranha Fest is an annual event which draws huge numbers of like minded paddlers to the banks of the mighty Tryweryn in North Wales. I daydreamed about the rapids, I re-counted the portages. I remembered the stillness of clear pools impounded between boulder piles in deep gorges. I thought about the remoteness of the river, crossed by footbridges but never paralleled by a trail, the canyon walls rising straight out of the water much of the way. Then sitting in the airport lounge, I saw a familiar face from my favourite TV show- actor that plays Michael Spence from Holby City. Grinning from ear to ear I finally approached him in SFO and told him what a cool actor he is and he was my favourite character.
