The world's latest paddling headlines.
Mike Dawson Addidas Sickline
Mike Dawson - Another day another dollar. Congrat's to Sam Sutton for owning the show and laying it down on the weekend and taking the Sickline Crown.
LiquidLore Weekend Warrior
LiquidLore - This video is basically the chronicle of Ali's summer based out of Squamish, and most of the rivers in the movie are also featured in the LiquidLore guidebook. Click any of the links here to get the beta about the runs - maybe you'll be able to get some awesome footage too, just like in the movie.
Dagger Blogs The Key to Class V Life After a Shoulder Injury—Stay Strong
Dagger Blogs - It was another one of those perfect May days on the Little White Salmon. There was only a small crew of us—maybe 3—and we'd paddled together so many times that we could communicate without ever taking our eyes off the river. When we got to Spirit Falls, someone quickly portaged to set safety while Lane and I sat in the eddy above, and waited.
Kokatat Blog Feather River Festival
Kokatat Blog - Kokatat Ambassador Taylor Robertson cleaned house at the 20th annual Feather River Festival, winning all 3 events. Team Kokatat had a strong showing this year with top finish's in each event (results below). The fund-raiser event for American Whitewater is hosted by local paddling club, the Chico Paddleheads.
Simon Willis How Bad Are You At Kayaking?
Simon Willis - Great video, check it up!
Fluid Blog Colorado Late Season Festivals III: Glenwood Ender
Fluid Blog - For the last of the easy-to-digest chunks of my series on Colorado late season festivals, here is a writeup about the Glenwood Ender. If you recall from last time, Conor Flynn demolished me at the Gore race. I partly blame Dan Glauser, because he didn't let me borrow his Detox, but that's fair enough.
Kokatat Blog 2010 Pan American Championships
Kokatat Blog - Kokatat regional team paddler Adam Scott sends a quick recap of the Pan American Championships at the Ottawa River. Adam is also a member of the Airborn Athletics Team.
PaddleBlogs Kayak Kernow - the Cornish paddlers: Roundwood Quay 3/10/10
PaddleBlogs - The weather has not been special over the last few days so it was with some considerable surprise that we found the river Fal at Loe Beach with not a breath of wind and almost mirror water. Tim was delayed so Guy and I struck out upriver at about 2.15pm. The river is now quietening down enormously, with many boats coming off their moorings because of insurance issues; a 6 month insurance policy is much cheaper than an annual one, so many boats need to come out on or near October 1st. Here's Loe Beach taken from the car park – only about 15 boats left!
Love It Live It LiLi Experience the Zambezi 2010
Love It Live It - I've just got back from Zambia where I've been running a 2 week ' Experience the Zambezi' trip. I had a great bunch of clients - Dave, Kat, Chris and Ross. We had a great time on and off the water and really got stuck into everything that was on offer in and around Livingstone. Here's a bunch of photo's from our trip - thanks to all the guys for helping get some great shots!!
Small World Adventures N. Feather River Fest
Small World Adventures - A big thanks to American Whitewater for all their hard work securing river releases throughout the country, like this one on the North Feather. This past weekend there were releases on the Rock Creek, Tobin, and Lobin sections of the North Fork Feather River in California.
duemmstuff Season 2010
duemmstuff - So after missing the senior team at the selections in may i was disapointed. Later during the world cups my shap was going better and better, in augsburg i finshid 7th, my best world cup result right now. After that prepeared for the U23 Euros which took place in Leipzig. I was really motivated to do a good race at that weekend.
CKS Squad The Astral Green Jacket Rescue PFD
CKS Squad - I've been using the Astral Green Jacket rescue PFD for two seasons now. I use it for everyday paddling as well as teaching River Rescue courses. The thing I love the most about it is the way it fits. It's comfortable and it doesn't get in the way of my range of motion. It's also been very durable, which is really important to me. When teaching rescue, I am constantly swimming out into the river and pulling myself up onto rocks.

Ching (Redondo Beach) survived a tough battle with nine-time world paddleboard champion and last year's Battle of the Paddle California champion Jamie Mitchell (Australia).
SUP Surf Stand Up Paddling Tips from Connor Baxter
SUP Surf - Connor Baxter, winner of the 2010 Duke's Oceanfest Race and a number of others gives us some tips on becoming better paddlers. He gives a quick overview on his Starboard equipment and then gets into the paddling techniques. Connor gives some tips to beat the 'older guys'…you know, like 18 year olds. One thing to note is that this kid is really fast…probably faster than you think.
