Adventures of Burgess Westward Waters: Day Four & Five
Adventures of Burgess - We awoke and slowly began the day. Checking river levels, we felt that our options were limited in the Beuna Vista area. We parted ways with our new found paddling friends and decided we would drive towards Gunnison planning to have a easier day paddle the North Fork of the Gunnison River. We drove onward through the high desert plateau's reaching a large reservior. Tracing it's edge we found ourselves driving along a small gorge. We arrived at the river and quickly found a local at the campground willing to set up a shuttle for us.
Nick Troutman Sickline World Championships: Final Results
Nick Troutman - Saturday was the Finals day for the Sickline World Championships in Otztal Valley, Austria. First was the head to head knockout Semi-finals. This is where two people race against each others time, and the fastest makes it through. There is also a lucky loser, so the fastest two people who lost the semi-finals could also make it through. This knockout Semi-finals, cut from 50 to 26, and then from 26-15 for the Super Finals.
PeakUK Pringle in the UK
PeakUK - So a little update for you, I've been living in Nottingham this last month training at the whitewater course in the lead up to the GBR team selection events for the Plattling Worlds.
Evan Garcia Rio Claro Canyon, Chile
Evan Garcia - I have been waiting for some time to edit this footage of the Rio Claro that didn't make it in to Dashboard Empanada. This was our first day of the season last year and a great start to what was sure to be the most epic Chile season ever had. The Garganta del Diablo is the most committing canyon on the Rio Claro and holds one of the most unique drops I have ever run.
Freestyle Kayaking & Expeditions Slovak championship
Freestyle Kayaking & Expeditions - It is probably two week that we had a Slovak Freestyle championship. It was also Slovak Kayak Cross championship on white water. This event was in Čunovo on slalom course. Also it was final competition of Alpine River Festival.
Fraser Valley WW Summer Road Tripping 2010
Fraser Valley WW - Being in the paddlesports business has lots of ups and downs. The down side would be that prime time to sell paddlesports gear occurs during prime paddling season, making it hard to get away from work to paddle while the local creeks and rivers are running. So next time you're in the shop to pick up some gear on a Saturday while I'm stuck working please omit all the cool places you're going this weekend, as it doesn't make being stuck at work any easier.
Sea Eagle Kayaking Lake Powell's Slot Canyons — a Surreal Experience
Sea Eagle - Eight family members and friends recently had the vacation of a lifetime on Lake Powell, living on a houseboat, tooting around in a speedboat, and exploring slot canyons in a Sea Eagle inflatable kayak.
Kokatat Blog Patty Robbins Paddling at Tahoe
Kokatat Blog - We got caught in a huge thunderstorm during our 14-mile paddle adventure last Saturday — had to take refuge under someone's dock in Rubicon Bay. Started back to Meeks Bay in four-foot swells, pelting rain and whitecaps, but at least the lightening had moved north. We couldn't tell where the lake and sky ended — super fun though!!!
