I love the Fall in New England! Wavesport Blogs - We got more rain just as promised! A bunch of us planned on going to the Moose Fest but then we bailed when the rivers around my house in VT came up. A bunch of friends came over including my brother Mark. We paddled the West Branch of the Deerfield River at 3ft on Saturday. We had a great time paddling my home creek. While we were boating Jeff took a ride to the hardware store and picked up some insulation so when we got back everyone was put to work putting up insulation in the basement.

Pan Ams 2010 Dave Crerar - This August we had our first ever Pan American Championships on the Ottawa river. With 5 countries represented this made the even a bit more of a Pan American/ Irish/ British championships. It has been quite a while since I have competed and so I was pretty nervous even before the line up of competitors was announced.

Lachine Dave Crerar - Lachine located on the St Laurence, only a short drive from Montreal's downtown, is one of the best waves I have ever surfed. However, not really knowing where we were going, it took a little longer than usual to get there. Montreal being a big city, it took us a while to find our friends house, who turned out not to be there. So we ventured to the car park by Lachine.

A Short Trip in Long Boats David Fairweather - Last week I borrowed a pair of Speeders from Pyranha and headed up to Scotland with a friend from Guildford for a gentle trip along the Great Glen, from Fort William to Inverness. This is the most relaxed multi-day trip I've done yet – more 'Three Men in a Boat' than 'Canoeing Down Everest', and I thoroughly enjoyed it for that.

South West Canoe Show (video) Freecaster - UK Active Outdoors video summary of the the 2010 South West Canoe Show held in Exeter. This is one of the biggest shows on the calendar and allows paddlers the chance to see and try the latest gear, as well as being a great day out.

Hobie Mirage Kayaks in Wichita Kansas PaddleTales Oklahoma - We test paddled two Hobie Mirage kayaks at Santa Fe Lake near Wichita, Kansas on Memorial Day weekend this year. My son Dylan paddled the inflatable version: the Hobie Mirage i12s and my wife and I both paddled the hardshell version: the Hobie Mirage Outback SUV. Both kayaks were rented from Brooks Canoe and Kayak in Augusta, Kansas.
