Easter in Nepal – the Thule Bheri River David Fairweather - One of the things that I like about foreign kayaking trips is that I get to see new places, meet new people, and learn new things. One of the new things that I learnt on this particular trip is the meaning of the phrase "continuous grade 4 paddling". The educator in this case was the incredible Thule Bheri River, which flows south from the mountain region of Dolpo in Western Nepal to the Terai.

A short trip to Slovenia David Fairweather - I have just got back from a short visit to Slovenia, although the intended purpose of the visit was research, whilst there I managed to successfully combine work with a little bit of paddling and some sightseeing.

Three weeks in India: Such a long long time to be gone and a short time to be there… David Fairweather - India is beautiful, chaotic but beautiful. Three weeks in the Indian Himalaya is simply not enough time to experience the place and I'm sure I will be back as often as time and money allow.

Tweaks, Creeks, & Stomach Tea Level 6 - Started off the summer season in Europe–flew in to Munich on a Thursday, arrived in Tacen, Slovenia for a brief training session on Friday to set up for a long weekend of racing. Jet lag is a killer, and I didn't prepare as well as I had hoped. The weekend turned out okay- I finished, but the results were not what I expected- didn't make top twenty to move into the semi-finals. Guess traveling takes it out of you. Then we (Ricky Powell and I) packed up and headed West to France for 2 weeks of training and racing. After getting lost I have determined that no amount of GPS maps downloaded can navigate you to the heart of France.

Friday and Saturday at sdot yam homemade kayaks - Friday morning the sea was quite high with surf about 1+m.

Sea Kayak Weekend at Bigbury-on-Sea worldkayak blogs - A group of 20+ made our way to Bigbury-on-Sea for weekend sea paddle. The weather forecast wasn't great, but set to gradually improve.
